Portland, OR (January 1, 2022) – Emergency crews across Washington County responded to the site of a traffic accident that took place early Thursday morning that ended in injuries.
Just before 11 a.m., on December 29, the Washington County Sheriff’s office and the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue responded to a traffic accident on Northwest Bethany Boulevard.
According to law enforcement, 21-year-old Taylor Chambers ran a stop sign at the intersection of Northwest Claremont Drive and Northwest Bethany Boulevard. As a result, his Ford Mustang struck a Toyota Prius.
The driver of the Prius, a 40-year-old woman, suffered significant injuries. The Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue extricated the victim before rushing her into an area hospital for medical care.
Chambers was believed to be under the influence, so they opened an investigation for DUII. At this time, the investigations are ongoing.
